Overview
Yumeka is an anime tracking app that helps you organize your library, rate shows, and share with friends. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights around it.
We keep things simple: we collect only what the app needs to function, we do not sell your data, and you can request deletion at any time.
Information We Collect
When you create an account and use Yumeka, we collect the following:
- Account information — your email address, username, and display name
- Profile content — your bio, profile picture, and favorite anime
- Library data — anime you track, your ratings, watch status, notes, tags, and folder organization
- Social data — friend connections, folder shares, and notifications
- User-generated content — threads and comments you post on anime pages
We do not collect precise location data, payment information, or any data from your contacts or other apps.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account
- To power your anime library, folders, ratings, and recommendations
- To enable social features like friends, folder sharing, and notifications
- To display threads and community discussion tied to anime
- To send you in-app notifications (friend requests, shares, etc.)
- To investigate reports of abuse or policy violations
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.
How Data Is Stored
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted database and authentication service. Supabase infrastructure is hosted in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
Profile pictures and folder cover images are stored in Supabase Storage.
Third-Party Services
Yumeka uses the following third-party services:
- AniList API — used to retrieve anime metadata (titles, artwork, descriptions, genres). We do not share your personal data with AniList. See AniList's terms.
- Supabase — our backend provider for authentication, database, and file storage. See Supabase's privacy policy.
We do not share your personal information with any other third parties.
User-Generated Content
Yumeka allows you to post threads and comments on anime pages. This content is visible to other users of the app. Please do not post personal information in public threads.
You can delete your own threads and comments at any time from within the app.
Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information in your profile
- Delete your account and all associated data
To delete your account, go to Settings → Delete Account in the app. This permanently removes your account, library, profile, posts, and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.

Children's Privacy
Yumeka is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify users through the app where appropriate.
